Actors Wanted For New Boro Play
AUDITIONS are being held next month for a new play about fans following Boro's doom to boom roller-coaster journey from 1985 to 2010.
The Boro's 37 mins covers key moments including liquidation in 1986, the last days at Ayresome Park, the move to the new Riverside Stadium and the 2004 Carling Cup success.
Written by Alan Spence, the play opens the door for local schools and amateur actors to showcase their talent, with themes including the classroom, work, teenage romance and women's football.
The company is in negotiations with funding bodies with a view to involving as many people as possible.
Auditions for male and female amateur actors aged 14 to 65 will be held at Middlesbrough College's Hazel Pearson Theatre on April 25 and 26 from 9.30am to noon.

Singers are also invited to get involved by joining the Ayresome Angelic Voices, who will record football chants and pop songs from the period.
Rehearsals begin early in June and the production is due to take place in July at the Hazel Pearson Theatre.
