ENGLAND Under-21 full-back Kyle Naughton joined Boro on loan from Tottenham until the end of June 2010.
The talented defender, who joined Spurs from Sheffield United for an undisclosed fee in July 2009, arrived on the morning of deadline day during the January transfer window.
Naughton was included in the PFA Championship Team of the Year in 2008-09, his only season of first team football with hometown club Sheffield United.
He initially played at right-back but also made appearances in midfield before ending the season at left-back.
Naughton had struggled for first team opportunities at White Hart Lane, making only one substitute appearance in the Premier League and another in the FA Cup, while also playing the full 90 minutes of Spurs' 5-1 Carling Cup win at Doncaster in August.
