FOOTBALL fans helped to raise at least £12,000 for Teesside Hospice in a charity football match at the Riverside Stadium alongside Boro legends Gaizka Mendieta and Craig Hignett.

TEESSIDE HOSPICE believes it is the first in the country to use the Nintendo Wii Fit to help patients with their physiotherapy.

GENEROUS fans raised £2,909 for Teesside Hospice in the bucket collection before last season's game against Bolton at the Riverside.

TEESSIDE Hospice Care Foundation was established in 1982 to enhance the lives of those suffering from life limiting illnesses, free of charge.
